Hay

Hay is a mixture of grasses sun dried to preserve its fresh fragrance. As our organic hay is the staple of our cattles’ diet – we have no need to feed our cattle grain. This allows us to maintain our “closed cycle” farming philosophy. Our grass grows naturally in the spring and is cut green just before the seeds mature and fall. The freshly cut hay is sun-dried and stored for winter feed. The hay fields are used for pasture after one cutting of hay so that the fields are naturally fertilized through out the summer.
